Hi all,

Sometimes, I have the following error when copying files to remote VM.

As you can see the first copy operation is succesful but the second one failed :-(

Copying 'Local:C:\ContinuousIntegration\workspace\checkout\src\ContinuousIntegration\Tool\..\..\..\lib\NUnit\' to 'Remote:C:\NUnit'

'C:\ContinuousIntegration\workspace\checkout\src\ContinuousIntegration\Tool\..\..\..\lib\NUnit\' => Remote:'C:\NUnit'

Copying 'Local:C:\ContinuousIntegration\workspace\checkout\src\ContinuousIntegration\Tool\..\..\..\src\WinPresentation.Tests\bin\Release\' to 'Remote:C:\NUnitTests'

'C:\ContinuousIntegration\workspace\checkout\src\ContinuousIntegration\Tool\..\..\..\src\WinPresentation.Tests\bin\Release\' => Remote:'C:\NUnitTests'

ERROR: VMware Tools are not running in the guest

ERROR: VMware Tools are not running in the guest

Can someone help me to solve this issue?

Are those copy operations within the same VM one after another?! That's weird, the only time I saw this was when the machine didn't have enough time to power up (hence we added a powerDelay option).

Hi dblock,

These copy operations are on different VM (dev VM -> client VM). I also increased powerDelay option but it still occurs.

It's weird because the first is ok but not for the second.

I am wondering if vmware tools is up to date?

What version of RemoteInsall?  ViX API?  VMware?  Operating Systems?

You can also try increasing the copyFile timeout.

I bet it's an old version of VixCOM that has concurrency issues.
