Connecting to VMWare Server

Hi,

I'm trying to get this quite promising piece of software to work in a setup as follows:

I have VMWare Server 2.0.2 running a number of VM's.

One of the VM's runs CruiseControl.NET and the others are supposed to run the tests.

Is this supposed to work when setting virtual machine type = "ESX"? All I get is "unable to connect to host".

Looking at the VIX API docs, I see they specify the host name as an URL (https://hostname/sdk), so I tried that as well as just specifying the hostname and the IP of the host running VMWare server. I also tried running it locally on the host (just specifying localhost), to rule out firewall issues, but I still get the "unable to connect to host".

The VI web UI is responding at https://hostname:8333/ui

Yes, a VMWare Server 2.x is very much like ESX. For the host set hostname:8333, that should work. If it doesn't, it needs some debugging, copy-paste the output and I'll check it out.

Thanks! It works fine now that I have specified the hostname as "hostname:8333" :) Now let's see if I can get the cc.net integration working :)
